It depends what he likes! Three years is a long time so I would say it should be something very personal, that shows that you have really thought about it and want to show how much you appreciate him. Only you can know what this would be for your guy.

Nothing, that year we totally forgot about our anniversary. We both remembered over a month later a had a good laugh, so our 4th year anniversary was extra special!

That would depend on what the $$ limit is...a car!....a gift certificate to his favorite sports only store?....a homemade coupon for a night out w/the boys?...here is one for all three levels of income...none, average...above average
