  • FIRST: If he is truly your FRIEND; then QUIT drinking with him , that only supports his drinking and enables him to remain a drunk . 2nd: Tell him in no uncertain words that you are worried about him and DON'T let him blow it off ... suggest that he try going to AA and support him by going along for a few meetings also ... 3rd: Talk to his family so they can get involved as a drunk or alcoholoc NEEDS support from both family and friends to get on the road to recovery ...
  • Be the kind of a friend that can forgive AND encourage a person at the same time. Just tell them how you feel and keep telling them some more. You don't have to be a jerk about this, just tell them that you care about what happens to them. Good luck!
  • THEN; as his FRIEND; you need to actively get involved and try to help him .... as advised . It is very important to make his family aware of his problem ... and; his other FRIENDS ... His REAL friends will NOT drink with him ; NOT even ONE drink !!
