You're reading If Limewire itself is not illegal but downloading songs from it is (at least thats what I discovered recently) then what would be the point of downloading it in the first place?

lime is what is considered peer to peer p2p which means material is shared among users. However, the user don't own any copyrights unless they are the artist themselves.
