Being cut wide open to pull out a blood-covered baby during a C-section is NOT a pretty sight---my husband almost fainted. But 'beauty' as in 'our child experiencing life outside the womb for the first time & us rejoicing on our child's celebrated & greatly anticipated arrival,' then definitely the birth. (!)
