Once I drove past a graveyard and saw all the graves with lovely flowers on them and thought, I wonder if they got flowers when they were alive. Think about those around you. Do you have someone you should send flowers to now?

There are two questions of yours very close together, with meanings that can also be close together. We tend to leave things that should be said until it is too late. I am in the position now where there is no'one left to feel sorry about not saying what we should. My younger brother was a late baby (an accident because of age. He had all sorts of things wrong but, lived as though he was as healthy as the rest of us. When he reached thirty he was hospitalised with kidney failure. I was travelling away a lot at that time. One afternoon, I had a strong feeling I should go and see him. I did this and saw he was in very bad shape, I held his hand ( never heard of on the male side of our family) and he half sat up, spoke my name and died. The things I could have done and said were of no use now, it was just to damn late.
