I think we'll be embarrassed in five years about how it was the Big Thing. Most people don't have that much to say on it so it turns out to be verbal diarhhea. I think people will start to call twitter users Twits and it will be all over. Oh that will be after the Next Big Thing comes.

Ack! Agreed... the verbal diarhea thing is just rediculous... and then, there are so many people that are just out there to make a little money with tons of followers and tons of posts, I just dont get it.

I joined it, and was floored. It was like facebook if facebook lost every feature other then the little update box. I really don't get what all the hubbub is about.

Twitter is known because of its original name, and how it sounds when you say you are 'twittering'... I visited once, and ran away... I would rather join better cyber-trash sites!

Twitter is much ado about nothing! I tweeted a couple of times, just so I could say I did...now I'm done. I guess it serves a purpose if you are say an IT guru with oodles of followers who await your every thought on the latest and greatest in high tech.

It amazes me how quickly and consistently people will willingly surrender their privacy in the name of "going with the flow". PREDICTION: "You've chatted with them online, you've watched their every YouTube video, you've even listened to their every word...but have you seen the inside of their bowels? I am so obsessed with Twitter. I've all but abandoned myspace and facebook in favor of it. The only reason I created an account was to follow Wil Wheaton and Brent Spiner, but I ended up getting hooked. I do realize the absurdity of it though. And it IS basically like a big social network of facebook status messages.
