Have you or do you ever make homemade olives? From fresh off the tree through the curing process and into the canning jars.

Lol we have an olive tree at home but it takes a number of years before they start growing olives so in the future i will =P

my nanna tried it once. they had an olive tree out the front of their house and tried to pickle them or what ever it was that you did. they were gross to strat off with, but after they were left in the jar for AGES they were great! I am not sure how she did it, never thought to ask before she passed either. but i do have all her old cook books at home so i guess i should be able ot find out how in one of those =]

no, but we have a few olive trees, they get laden with fruit, but Ive no idea how to pickle them, it doesnt matter to much, some one sneaks in and takes them all offf the trees, I guess at least they know what to do with them; lol
