    Well Desperate Housewives sometimes deals with slightly complex emotional dilemmas and covers the social activies of the "picket-fenced" females. Where as Supernatural seems to be kind of a one layered story involving two guys running around hunting supernatural creatures with very little to it apart from the speedy action.
