I don't the same reason some guys smoke.

both the gender smoke for different reasons .. some girls smoke because they believe it helps control their weight, some guys smoke because it makes them look cool... I use to smoke because I enjoyed it

People usually start smoking because it looks "cool"! If only they would realize that it only brings them huge problems later in life when they realize it was a bad idea and have a hard time quitting!

Because they are Hot, maybe even on fire. Give them some much needed advice....Stop, Drop, and Roll! Or...throw some water on them.

Same reason everyone does; masochism... They like the burning feeling in the throat... lol Seriously; to fit in with the crowd. Girls tend to have low self-esteem and feel the need to fit in, and will try anything... This is also one of the reasons girls are losing their virginity at younger and younger ages...

Because they're sheep, and they absolutely have to do what every other girl is doing. This also goes into adulthood, that's why politicians have female-specific policies, that's why they go for the "female vote", because they know that most women will copy what other women do. Look at the Beatles, their manager paid a bunch of pretty girls to follow the Beatles around, sometimes even driving in the same vehicles as them, and scream at them all the time, look what all the other women done, they saw it happen, so copied it. That also explains why advertisers go for women too, they're easily led and extremely gullible, they just throw in a few made-up equations and scientific-y sounding phrases, tell them millions of other women are doing it, and like zombie-sheep, women blindly follow. Shows that are aimed at women tend to have smokers in them too, usually the outspoken sassy one, so girls want to be like her, so they smoke too. The same applies to boys, the difference is, they outgrow their gullibility before they're adults, girls don't, it remains their entire life, but not to worry, all other women around the world will be telling them that they mature faster than boys, and like sheep, they'll blindly believe this without question, even though the evidence is staggeringly against the whole idea that women mature faster.

That's just what they call it in Thailand.
