Sure, Bush didn't have that much impact on North Korea. He was in office when they began with their testing. Why would they suddenly stop if he remained in the presidency?
-
short answer is ...Yes!!
-
G'day Nancy, Thank you for your question. Yes because they would have been planning this for some months. They realise that America's forces are occupied elsewhere and that the US would be reluctant to take military action given that North Korea is next to China. Regards
-
I actaully think no because they followed Iran's Q when they fired a missle and we did nothing they figured we were weak and decided to do WTF they wanted.
-
Of course they would. They DID. Their first test in 2006 was under Bush's watch. Just like Obama, there was little he could do about it other than ask the world community to tighten sanctions. The only response open to us that would truly be a game changer is a military strike against North Korea. That would risk nuclear war with China and Russia. Since North Korea is still years from having a sophisticated bomb suitable for missile delivery, it isn't worth risking that. Those are the facts whether its a Republican or a Democrat in the White House.
-
Hell yeah they would. They tested a nuclear dud with Bu$h in office and he didn't even speak a word about it.
-
Yeah.
-
If he acted according to conservative principles and blew them off the map they would be unable too
-
The reason he has capabilities is because of the Bullying he received from Bush and his cronies. We are going to pay the price for the N Koreans being starved to death. Too late for dipomacy I'm afraid. Axis of evil now for real
-
Speaking from a fanatical right-wing perspective: yes. Bush was about as weak a president as carter and he'd be saying the same thing everyone else is... "boo hoo...bad North Korea. You don't play nice."
-
They thumbed their noses at Bush many times in office. North Korea was a much bigger threat during Bush's presidency than Iraq or Iran ever was. The difference is Bush thought (incorrectly) that Iraq was an easier target. Bush did not invade N. Korea because their leader is willing to absorb losses of lives in the millions and wait out America's impatience wit hheavy casualties and hesitancy to escalate to the point where it involves China. We invaded Iraq despite having no evidence of WMDS while allowing N. Korea to brag they were testing nukes and developing missiles capable of reaching the US. Bush got punked.
