  • I operate a business called Building Energy Experts. We specialize in reducing home energy bills. All the answers here are great. We perform what is know as an "energy audit" this is to find out the current status of the home in question. Once completed we can look at areas where saving can and will be realized. The largest issue is air infiltration through the home from outdoors. If you reduce the air flow the furnace and a/c unit will work dramatically less. We see an average saving of 35% with our clients.
