  • FM because it's free, good quality, and I don't mind the ads. AM bad quality and it's all news. Shortwave, just no! Satellite, not fond of paying for radio that's almost the same as FM, just not commercials.
  • AM. I only listen to news and radio talk shows. Regarding music, I only listen to New Country and there is not a single FM Country Station in Puerto Rico. I listen to CD's and music I get from the Internet.
  • Satellite radio all the way, I don't see myself going back to regular radio if I can help it. I've got Sirius, and after the purchase of the radio and having it insalled, the monthly fee is very reasonable, especially for the amount of time I spend in my car. Also you can purchase a lifetime subscription and never have to pay again. I listen to it all the time, and there are so many channels to choose from and no commercials, you can always find something good to listen to.
  • Shortwave.
  • FM has good sound quality, but short range. Shortwave has incredible range. I live in California, and have heard Radio Japan faintly, a broadcast from Salt Lake City very strongly, and a broadcast from South Carolina fairly well, as well as broadcasts from Europe with moderate signal strength. Sound quality is erratic, mostly staticky if weak, similar to nearby AM if strong. AM is OK, and satellite has great sound, but pricy.
