This looks like a homework question. So, I am not going to give you the answer. However, I will give you some hints to help you find the correct answer. First of all, I am going to assume that the reason we get a cloudy white mixture is because the Mg(OH)2 is not particularly water soluble. (A cloudy mixture results when you have fine particles of a none soluble substance suspended in another one.) So, what is needed here is something that will create a water soluble compound. (When one substance dissolves in another substance, the result is a clear solution.) Second, note that we are discussing magnesium hydroxide here. That means that we are dealing with a base. So, what is the group of substances with which bases tend to react readily? The reaction between a base and this group of substances generally produces compounds that are very water soluble. Now, if you post your answer as a comment on this answer, I will tell you if you are correct.
