Are ipods as good as everyone says they are, or are here other mp3 players just as good?

In my opinion, iPods are rubbish. I have an 80GB, video iPod and it was such a waste of money. They're overpriced, and in order to put music on it I have to go around doing illegal things. In the UK, you can't buy films for them on iTunes (and honestly, who would want to, given I already forked out for the DVD so I can watch it on my TV?!) So in order to get round that one, I have to download free ware, that it turns out I have no idea how to use. Also, if I want to buy games for it, I have to pay £3.99, and in comparison, US customers have to pay around £2.66. It must be the postage and packaging that increases the price for UK customers. But, oh! I forget. You buy over the internet, there is no shipping. to pay for My mp3 player was so much better, and I never felt like I got ripped off with it. I felt like I got what I paid for from my mp3, but my iPod is a rip off. If anyone wants a free iPod, give me a shout ;)

They are over-priced and over-rated. My Creative Zen Microphoto 8GB is just great and cost much less, and looks far better, than an I-Pod.

There are better mp3 players for less money.

Mine works just fine. Apple was just on the cutting edge when they started to appear. Other brands compare in price and value.
