Bottles, simply because you can see if an insect has got inside (common where I live),its bad news if you drink from a can and swallow a stinging insect.

beer -> bottles, because it tastes much better that way. the rest of the time, cans. why? they are easier on the environment (than plastic especially), they keep drinks carbonated and colder for longer.

Bottles. Less prone to spills, or to going flat if I don't drink the contents quickly enough, because most bottles can easily be resealed between sips, while most cans cannot.
