Where did the express "I'm just saying" originate?

    The phrase, "I'm just saying" goes back to ancient Persia. The king of Persia would make a law or decree and when it was done in his language he would seal it with these words, "Canat soltro Aninti". Which translates, "I'm just saying". And now you know the rest of the story.
