  • I have a 2G Nano and it does the same thing sometimes; I do not know the cause, but I find many Apple iPod related products are crapping out on me, like my iBoom. It stops playing all the time; I am going to stop buying iPod material.
  • let it run out of battery and then recharge or hook it up to your computer which might work as well
  • Hold down the Menu and Center button for about 10 seconds, to let it reset. Then, hit center to turn it on, then try turning it off. It should work. I have the problem, and I reset every time. Works great for me.
  • you press the menu key and the and the middle button and it should reboot and show and apple
  • Go to "Settings", "Clicker" and make sure it is set to "Both." It did the trick for me.
