My 30gb iPod video won’t turn off. I made sure that the hold switch isn’t on, and it isn’t, and I attempted to turn it off as I do all the time, pressing and holding the pause/play button. I don’t know what happened!

I have a 2G Nano and it does the same thing sometimes; I do not know the cause, but I find many Apple iPod related products are crapping out on me, like my iBoom. It stops playing all the time; I am going to stop buying iPod material.

let it run out of battery and then recharge or hook it up to your computer which might work as well

Hold down the Menu and Center button for about 10 seconds, to let it reset. Then, hit center to turn it on, then try turning it off. It should work. I have the problem, and I reset every time. Works great for me.

you press the menu key and the and the middle button and it should reboot and show and apple

Go to "Settings", "Clicker" and make sure it is set to "Both." It did the trick for me.
