You might want put that right hand under the club (turn clockwise). This will make it easier to rotate that hand before impact and you may be able to close the face of the club easier.
It would help but, Its not getting rid of the problem which is causing the slice in the first place. It would be easier and more comfortable "Not" changing your grip and find the fix to the problem. Videotape your swing, I think you'll find you are using too much of a baseball swing. If that is the case, Its going to get worse. Its a bad habit but easy to fix. Make sure your follow through is ending up touching somewhere up towards ayour neck, Not down somewhere near your shoulderblade. Take a lesson, having the club pro watch your swing is money well spent.
It might, but I've always been told that if you are slicing you should loosen up your grip alittle.

My average golf drive is 290-300 yards when not sliced or hooked. I hook about 30% and slice about 10%. How good is this for distance?

You're reading I have a strong golf grip, right handed, if I rotate my grip to the left, counter-clockwise, will it help get rid of my slice?
