Where is the brake fluid well located on a 1998 chevy silverado extended cab pickup?I need to add fluid and can't find where to put it.

    Old School

    Look under the hood immediately in front of the steering wheel.

    You should see a big black donut-shaped thing (that's the brake booster). Sticking out of the brake booster will be a cylinder with several skinny brass lines running to it (that's your master cylinder).

    On top of the master cylinder will be a round or rectangular container (since it's GM, probably rectangular). Remove the top of this container (GM, you need to rotate the restrainging wire "basket handle" out of the way). Add fluid as necessary.
