make it like adopt a tree, like you can adopt a panda or dolphin, so if anyone cuts down your tree you just sue them, that was my year 6 idea on how to save the amazon rainforest :D another way would be claim you can see jesus's face in it, and say if you cant see it your obviously goin to hell, everyone wud be like 'oh yeah, that jesus face'

Make a whole in the tree and fill some sweets in it. Hold a raffle or a lucky dip every week. Put a couple of pricy things and the others can be sweets. Charge everyone a $1 for a lucky dip.

How could a dead tree be worth more that a live one? The live one is making oxygen and the dead one can only make dirt or, if you use it for firewood, harmful emissions. The value is NOT in the dollars!
