How do you figure out what you are making an hour if you know what you are making salary. If I am making 32 000 a year, how much am I making per hour?

[32,000/(# of hours you work per week * 52 weeks)] If you work 40 hours per week, you'd make 32,000/(40*52) = $15.38 per hour.

32,000 divided by 52 weeks, further divided by 40 hours (or 35, depending on where you work.) it's around 16.00 or so.

That depends on how many hours you're working. If it's based on a 40 hour week, then you get paid $15.38 an hour. Based on a 48 hour week you get. $11.83 per hour.

Take the hours worked per week times the total weeks per year you work and divide that into you salary. Many if not most will, or at least expect you to work more than a 40 hour week is why they put you on salary. I am somewhat confused that a person paid a salary does not know how to figure this. There are apx 2080 work hours in a year (40 hr week x 52 weeks) so 32,000 divided by 2080 = $15.38 hour for 40 hrs week.

Annual salary / (number of hours worked) Number of hours worked ~= (8 hrs/day)*((5 days)*(52 weeks)-(allowable sick days)-(company paid holidays)-(annual vacation days)-(any other paid day off)) You may work more or less hours depending on the workload. Although I've not heard of too many companies not wanting you there at least 40 hours.
