Doesn't seem as though it would be; growing up there I saw more cows and horses than goats. I don't think that it's got good "goat land." Thank you, Jodie, for resurrecting this question.

There is a heavy mid-Eastern minority in the Detroit area, and middle Easterners eat alot of goat. Whether it can be profitable or not, you would have to evaluate. But you could be offering Fresh as opposed to Frozen goat - might be enough to capture market share.

I think you can thank Jodie for resurrecting this question again!! Anyway... I remember flying over Michigan and noticing just how unique the land was.... I must have thinking about how profitable goat farming would be :)
