I belive they've just switched over to another server, and so are still experiencing some connection problems while they iron out the little kinks in the system.

Well it has taken hours to sort them out. i would not have thought a Saturday night when they have so many other things to do the best time for changing anything

yes, ive had the problem of running into the familiar messege: "answerbag is temporarily unavaliable" or answerbag's engines need fine tuning..what is going on? i know they already installed brand new servers..but how long can it take for the servers to be aligned properly? ok, i have dial up..but with an attached web accelerator, its still slow as a sloth

This site is really just terrible over the last week or so... slow, unavailable features, etc. If I wasn't truly in love with you, AB, I'd leave you for a younger, hotter site :)

Hold on eveeryone, Look at the date the question was posted. AB had some hardware problems that have since been corrected. The question was posted on Feb.24, It is now March the 4, The site problems have been fixed for a few days now. But there was a period of time in there when AB was extreemly slow to just plain unusable. But hey the warp engines are fixed and we are back in business again thanks to the awesome staff at AB.

If you are talking about the responce of the internet speed, it's not just AB. many websites have been VERY slow or non responsive. It seems that several primary routing systems have been having some problems.

I guess it's because the weather is great in many parts of the world right now. Around here, people are participating in many outside activities such as harvesting their gardens, attending public fairs, and buying items at flea markets.

I know this question is dated but AB is incredibly slow for me today. I've tried Chrome, IE, and Firefox, makes no difference. All other sites are as fast as ever, only AB is slow. I wonder if their servers are being overwhelmed during the holidays. It's currently just about unusable.

It's been this way for 3 days. I just sent a question thru and it 20 minutes for that question to go thru. how ridiculous is that. Why don't they add more bandwidth and fix these issues?

It seems to be happening more and more lately. Tweaking the site? Too many people for the server to handle? Not enough band width? I'm no rocket scientist but even I can figure out when something isn't working properly. Just do what I do. Leave the site and go do something else for a while. If everyone does that eventually AnswerBag administrators (and more importantly their sponsors and advertisers) will realise they need to do something substantive about a recurring problem. You cannot put a band-aid on a gaping wound and expect everything to be "all better".

It's never been that slow when I've been on because I'm in an opposing time zone and you guys are all in bed :P However, being on at a weird time today I notice that your 'peak' time is quite slow indeed.
