  • No, why, do you?
  • Yes, When I was a kid ours would sometimes over flow into our side yard. Once when we were playing hide n Seek, I wasn't paying attention and fell right into it. Thought I was going to die!!!!
  • Any stories I have about them are horror stories. We had one in our last house and some fool had put the tank in backwards!!! It worked, but barely!!! Never again.
  • I have read some real life incidents of murdered bodies being put into the septic tank. Never paid too much of attention to them. But contrary to belief by murderers, septic tanks are a very poor choice of place to hide a dead body, I am led to believe.
  • No actually, not yet, as ours have worked very well, but then again we used them carefully. Now this latest one we put in, with double tanks and special switches and it pumps uphill!!!! And then it goes into a sand mound and then a dispersion filed, I don't trust it very much. one of those pumps and switches has already been sluggish and Keith had to get inside the upper tank to fix it through these narrow risers. Not a horror story yet but I'm told with our wet climate conditions we can expect trouble just from rain and snow.
  • i have a septic tank i hope nothing happens.. what things could possibly happen with septic tanks anyway?
  • My hot water heater (tank)broke and flooded part of my basement.
  • My father was a plumber and once he recieved a call from an older woman. She had flush her dentures down the toilet accidently after throwing up. He pumped out the tank and scooped them out when they were found. The woman washed them and had them back in her mouth before he left. There just ain't enough soap and bleach in the world.
  • A week before 100+ people were due for a backyard family reunion,...you guessed it. "Up through the ground came a bubblin' goo. Poop, that is, human waste" Had to dig and get it pumped, the smell stayed in the ground for the party.
