If the Earth became a cold dead place, like Mars, they would stop. However, for evolution to continue, the earth must continue to change and grow, with all the weather events (not disasters)as they are. The only thing that makes us call the disasters is because we don't like that kind of change. If all humans disappeared, they would no longer be disasters, but simply life as it was meant to be.

Are you retarded? What kind of shit is this. Does your God stop tornados? Yeah I bet you think he does, but he doesn't stop hurricanes. Evolution is a proven idea. Your God is one of many Gods who has existed in the imaginations of devolved people throughout the ages.

Is there such a thing as natural evolution now that mankind is at the helm.Sorry but i think it's just going to get worse.

Biological evolution won't stop those geophysical events. Those forces are more likely to affect evolution than be affected by evolution. About the only things that could stop those disasters are even greater disasters, such as a near-Earth gamma ray burst. A gamma ray burst from within about 500 light years would burn away the Earth's atmosphere, thereby preventing anymore tornadoes and hurricanes. It could also melt the planet's crust, thereby eliminating any tectonic plate activity and therefore any earthquakes.

Sure, we could evolve into mutants with cool mutant powers and names like Earth-Quiet and Torn-a-don't and Windbag, heroes that sit around their living room stopping natural disasters while watching tv. In fact, it is possible that there is a secret government program ALREADY IN PLACE utilizing mutants just like that.

Evolution, as in the theory of natural selection described by Darwin is not really applicable, since it describes a process involving living things. So let's just scratch that as even a possible answer. Theoretically-and I am using that term very loosely-a deity could if there was such a thing. To my knowledge there is no authenticated example of any of those disasters coming to a cold stop other than running their natural courses.

Do you know what evolution is? It is a biological thing, and it would have no effect on tornadoes and hurricanes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Introduction_to_evolution ^^ The above link provides some basic, introductory information regarding evolution if you want to know more about it.

nothing can stop those. also, evolution has no power to do anything, it's merely an explanation of how life evolved AFTER it appeared. it does NOT describe how life, earth or the uni/multiverse began.

On the International Space Station, they don't have any of those. It does not make much sense to try to fight energies which are much bigger than those we can produce, it is a better idea to learn to protect ourselves from them. We have been doing some steps in this direction lately.
