I don't see why not. Especially, if it's cold. They do make stockings that are meant to be worn with sandals (sandalfoot). Any local store should have these, they are fairly common. If you really hate the idea of wearing stockings in February with a dressy dress and sandals, you might opt for "spray on stockings". All that is, is a spray that covers your legs to give the illusion of wearing them (say if your tan has faded and you want something on your now-white legs). This can be found at most drugstores and comes in a spray can. Hope this helps.

Generally you might get a wince from the really fashion conscious if you are wearing stockings with the seams showing. I would try to avoid it. Also, you generally don't wear strappy sandals in February, depending on where you live. I would try to find some closed toed shoes to wear during the times you need to wear stockings. Also, the spray on stockings are a good thing if you just want to have the look not the warmth.

Yes, as long as they're sheer stockings and of the "sandlefoot" type as I believe has already been mentioned. Thick (30 denier plus) stockings always look a little strange with dressy clothes. Wear 15 denier black or flesh coloured (make sure they area ctually the colour of your flesh or you'll look decidedly odd!) or, if your feeling brave, something with a subtle pattern.

You can definitely pull off a dress with stockings in the middle of February with closed-toe shoes. Open-toe sandals look funny when paired with stockings...since they expose most of your feet. I suggest you pair pumps or mary janes with stockings in winter. Hope this helps!

Absolutely. An evening sheer pair of pantyhose or stockings would be perfect with a dressy black dress and strappy heels.
