Why would an S/O say nasty comments about their partners friends even though they haven't met them?

Jealous over the fuss you make over the friend.

I have said unkind things about a S/O s friend because the friend wasn't being very nice. That doesn't excuse my behavior which wasn't very kind.

S/O is jealous or lonely because your spending time with your friends. Take S/O with you once in awhile when you go out with said friends, try to get the S/O to be friendly with them and it will be harder to bad mouth them.
