No real, positive proof that I heard of.
-
They don't get long distance service yet.
-
Well, if it has taken this long for our species to develope, chances are it's taking just as long for any other species on any other world to develop. Then you have to take distance into account... which is more of a problem.
-
be patient. they will, eventually.
-
I think that they have. I just dont believe that the public has complete access to this knowledge.
-
Maybe we are something lying on its back at the bottom of a pond to them
-
Maybe we have nothing that interests them.
-
it has.
-
How do you know they haven't?
-
Even if they existed, if they did fly over this earth and look at it (worldwide situation), I think they'd turn around and run like H**L!! Why would they want to contact such a planet as this, with all its wars, drugs, crime, lack of agreement, etc. etc.? -- ad infinitum -- I'd run, too, if there was another planet to go to....
-
Now there's a man who never heard of Tom Cruise!
-
Actually, I believe it has. And it's name is Paris Hilton. ;)
-
I bet they have, they just don't talk to all of us. I bet they only talk to a select few, kindof like diplomats, and representatives for our planet. I watch way to much SG-1. :P
-
if they are more advanced than us i don't think they would contact us. when you see an ant hill, you don't try to communicate with the ants and give them nuclear energy or sumthing. u step on it and destroy a whole civilization. i think more advanced aliens will do the same to us. i can't remember where i got this analogy from, i think it was from TV somewhere.
-
They see us walking around blowing smoke out of our mouths and talking to ourselves when we are alone (cell phones) I think they're afraid to contact us physically!
-
We're not yet ready. We can hardly live among ourselves yet. We may need a few more millenia to evolve as a race.
-
Who's to say it hasn't? We may be simply listening on the wrong frequencies, or not recognize whatever it is they use for language...
-
They themselves have not, but they've had "creature-like" machines that are way beyond our level of comprehension do it for them.
-
I am sure they already have.
-
I don't know that it has or has not. If it has, though, then why no recent visits/contacts?
-
Well, Alex Collier is just one contactee that I have read about. There are others as well. The question really is, if alien life did make contact with us, would we acknowledge it or just pass it off as something coincidental or imagination? I think most people's minds are so closed that they wouldn't even be able to recognize any attempt at contact. We are too focused on our own little life, getting to work every day and taking care of our families. We have closed our minds to anything else. And that is exactly what our government wants us to do. They have dumbed us down with flouride in our water, mercury in the vaccines, chemtrails, etc. and it is all for a reason. They don't want us to think for ourselves. The shadows behind the government are running this world, and they have their own agenda, which is world domination, or New World Order. They know that alien life does exist, and soon they will attempt their greatest scam on humanity ever, with a huge lightshow in the sky, depicting the rapture. All done with holograms and new age sound technology. We will flock to them to 'save us' once again.
-
If they do have the means to recieve our transmissions then we may still have years to wait for a reply if any was sent in the first place. If they have been broadcasting themselves for a long time, then a good question is, "Why haven't we heard them yet?" If they were thousands of years ahead of us which is possible in our part of space, then another question would be, "Do we want to contact them?"
-
ET cannot communicate their higher intellect & sophisticated technologies with mere Homo sapiens.
-
They did. But our gov't made some real bad mistakes, and so cannot now admit anything. Read the Dulce Book for a fascinating insight. http://www.thewatcherfiles.com/dulce_book.htm
-
We're still too primitive. We haven't even settled our own internal squabbles how much more if alien life came into the picture?
-
if it does exist then i am guessing they would not want to contact us all at the same time... they might not even exist but it looks like lot of space out there for us to be the center and one and only it's hard to believe but quite possible, i think earth is so amazing that the creator just put us all here because it was his favorite planet out of all of them
-
the line is busy.
-
We don't really know that they haven't already.
-
Consider the limit of the speed of light (for travel through space) and the incredible vastness of our galaxy. It is very little wonder that another species has not found us yet. We are on the very tip of one of the Milky Way spirals, and even if they saw planets here likely to support life it would take them eons to get here. It is unlikely that they would bother. That's the diff between science fiction and science.
-
Possibly because this galaxy was formed at the same time. I would suppose that anybody/thing that was capable of self awareness would either have killed themselves off or are probably at the stage of development as we are. Besides, who's to say that we won't end up being the alien visitors?
-
We assume it hasn't because we look for signs from a "earth bound" point of view. Who knows, the technology necessary to sucessfully navigate between worlds may be so far beyond our current knowledge, that the proof itself may be in an arena we are not keen to.
