  • What a great idea! Market it to parents by letting them know that it is safe fun and that it keeps their child occupied with something positive when they grow bored during the summer :) I'd say $25 for a few weeks worth of lessons? Does that sound marketable for your area?
  • maybe trade for yard work or other chores.life lessons are important for young people.
  • Check with your recreation department and see what they charge for their classes, then base yours on that. Personally, I would never send a child of mine to a private home for lessons. You might be better off to see if you can provide the classes through the parks and recreation or at Boys and Girls club, or YMCA.
  • Guitar and piano lessons are something like $25/hour. Remember, too, that some parents will use you as a baby-sitter for the time you have their children. I'd consider $25-35/session, and you supply the clay, glaze, and whatever other material will be needed. (Kiln time.) Then again, with the depressed economy, you may wish to lower that to $20-25 (still supplying...)
