...It is a boy's school in Scotland and it is a tradition not to wear underdrawers when you are in "togs" (kilt and jacket)....Just a guess.

That's silly. Who cares if some girl's snatch is showing in her yearbook photo? You know that half the boys there are going to claim that their yearbook was stolen when the school asks for them back. I think it's pretty funny. The girl should be held in high esteem for being a part of such a great work.
