  • I've never heard of a tame dingo.
  • Wild...and when I read this question, all I could hear in my head was "dingoes took my baby"!
  • they are wild and if am not mistaken live in the desert, but not totally sure about that.
  • Technically they are feral
  • To the best of my knowldege Dingos are wild dogs found in Australia alone and they have never been domesticated. Similar wild dog populations are there in all parts of the world and None of them have been domesticated entirely. There have been instances of wild dogs and wolfs being mated with domesticated dogs to create exotic canine breeds. I am not any such cross breeding efforts involving Dingos. If such cross breeds were to be created they will have really great hybrid vigor judging from the stamina of the Dingos I have heard about.
  • I dont think so, Dingo's do not have much self control as dog's do so that's why dog's have been domesticated by the police and by people.
  • Dingos are usually wild, but people do have them as pets sometimes. When kept as a pet, dingos can live for about 20 years, much longer than a regular dog. They also don't bark and they don't have that 'dog smell'. From what I have heard, they are great pets, very friendly.
  • Wild, even when tourists feed them on Fraser Island because they appear friendly, they can turn and attack and have been known to in the past, but apparently a dingo crossed with another breed can make a good pet.
