Yes sometimes I have to look at the category.

Not if I don't answer. I only look at the ones I answer so I can better tell if the person is serious or wanting humor. Even then it is sometimes hard to tell.

Yes but more often than not the question is in the wrong category so looking at that can throw you a curve ball.
