No, it isn't. There are different rules. There are rules about travelling with the ball, unlike rugby, plus other rules. I have never really played it.

Rugby and Aussie rules are totally different. Aussie rules is the same as Gaelic football in Ireland (they actually play each other every year alternating the rules, which are slightly different but very close). Rugby is rugby ..... awesome!

No total differnt rules, field size, goal posts and number of players, thats like trying to say coke and pepsi are the same!
