yes, his subjects were often luminous or glowing. there was a brilliant clarity in his paintings ~ his use of light really accentuated and highlighted the various textures of the objects in the painting. i noticed a fair number of his subjects were placed near a window during the daytime ~ bathing them in glowing sunlight and casting interesting shadows.
