I think they are a waste of money.The odds of getting robbed is extremely low,and the cost of the system does not pay for itself.They peddle imaginary fear in order to sell alarm systems.

Im installing one as we speak. Not one of those home monitoring systems. A closed Circut TV and DVR recorder I can monitor from anywhere. I'll get back to you and tell you if its a waste of time.

Where I live, they might be considered a waste of money. There are many places or homes where I think they would be worth the money.
