    These machines are pretty much the same, but if I had my choice, I would go with the Toshiba for two reasons: 1) The low end model uses an AMD processor instead of the same Intel processor that is in the HP and I tend to find that the AMD processors run a bit cooler; 2) The Toshiba has a better graphics card in it's high end model than the HP does (ATI 3650 vs. ATI 3430). Finally, I like the Toshiba's overall feel better than HP's. Just seems more user friendly.
