That is great that you are rescuing a puppy!!! You might not encounter any problems at all because he will be so glad to have someone show him love. Rescue animals can make some of the greatest pets. The only thing is that it might take some time for him to learn to trust you.

Lowered immunity due to over crowding. Inoculation history obscure Worming history spastic medical genetic problems associated with breeds

Go You! You're a better human that I.

Puppy mill puppies can have special behavioral problems, simply because they probably have been inbred. meaning they were bred from brother-sister or mother-son. This is a shame and i only hope your new puppy does not have these problems.

Thanks for considering adopting a rescue pup. I wouldn't expect any different if the rescue people are sound.

He may not have any problems at all, per se. Any time we cause a major change in a dog's life, there can be a few challenges. Dogs do not understand change, and so change can cause them to be stressed out. Even an adult dog, that has been perfectly house trained for years, can have a few potty accidents when a major change in their lives comes about. If this happens, shoot me an email, my addy is on my profile, and I'll send you a copy of Potty 101, so you can give him a fun, refresher course on why asking and going outside for potty is the best idea since hamburgers! Unfortunately, vaccines can also be related to both physical (medical) reactions and behavioral problems! They have been linked to skin disorders, ear problems, heart, respiratory issues, eye discharges and cancer in dogs that are vaccinated on a yearly basis. Flea and tick products also are linked to these issues, along with heart worm medications. The last three products all contain some amount of poison, which can build up in the dog or cat over time, and some animals are faster to have a negative reaction that becomes obvious to us. You may want to learn more about this, and also consider putting him on a Species Appropriate Diet, which will not only provide him with nutrition that his body is designed to digest more fully, but will also help to build his own immune system. I've found it both a huge benefit to my dogs and cats, and also LESS EXPENSIVE for me in the cost of the feed, and in vet bills to clean their teeth, since gnawing the meats keeps their teeth cleaner! http://www.skylarzack.com/rawfeeding.htm http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/rawfeeding/ http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/TruthAboutVaccines/?yguid=354615195 http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/ClassicalHomeopathyPets/?yguid=354615195 GOOD FOR YOU...ADOPTING A DOG THAT HAS A REAL NEED! I hope you will all be filled with joy, love and laugher!
