Do you shop in your home town to support the business there or do you go out of town where things are cheaper?

I shop wherever is closest purely down to convenience - apart from for clothes. I'll travel for them.

We try to go for good price with the best service for most things. Using smaller local stores isn't always the highest price, we've discovered. So often price isn't the biggest thing. We try to support local merchants as much as possible.

I do as much shopping locally as I can (we live 10 miles from the next town).

I try to shop locally, unless local merchants are obviously 'price gouging'---then its off to the nearest city that is competitive enough to deserve my well-earned dollar.

After some comparison we often shop in town to keep the taxes in our local economy!

I generally shop in my home town, unless a neighboring town has a store that isn't available in my home town (i.e. Macy's).
