My opinion is YES and NO. For the YES side of things, people would be more active and not have their eyes glued to the TV every minute of every day. On the NO side of things, we would not be able to communicate as well as we can now. (News, informational shows, etc.)

Yes. People were more social, spent more time outdoors, and were better read before television. I recently learned that when Einstein published his theories, they were posted in the windows of large department stores and would draw crowds of people to read them!

Yes, without a doubt. People would listen to the radio instead. People would have to do different things instead of chilling in front of the TV, like - talking to the family - doing exercise - sleeping a bit more - make a bigger effort to avoid boredom All of of this would make the world a better place.
