No New York is a great City, exciting and lively always plenty to do. The crime rate is no worse than most other major cities and has improved a lot in the last few years

No, Every city has its good and its bad. ny is no different. yeah it has alot of rude people and alot of crimes but what city doesnt? new york is beautiful and it has so many places you can go and have fun. you can go anywhere in ny and not be bored.

YES! All you have to do is visit and you will quickly see why. Alot of people, alot of traffic, alot of noise, high crime rate, bad air. Just to name a few things. It is a nice place to visit, but I could never live there.

I agree with the Berenise and Firebrand that NYC has a lot to offer, but will just add that its one of the most racially charged places I have ever lived.

I like NYC. Granted, I just visit for work, but I love the feel of the big city and schedule it keeps. Every city has it's bad areas.

I would be a city where I would never want to live.I have never been but that many people in that small of area,is not for me.To much rush,to much pollution,and from what I have heard,as city of much self importance.I could visit to varify for sure.

I love NY and go several times a year- every chance I get. It is NOT as bad as it is portrayed in movies. First of all, crime is lower in NY than in many other smaller cities across the US. I'll admit it has areas you should avoid, but it's just like anywhere else. Use common sense, and don't flash a lot of cash. Its a great time with more to do than you can possibly imagine.

No. I am in NYC every day. People are more friendly than you think. But DO NOT STOP IN FRONT OF ME TO TAKE A PICTURE OF NOTHING AND MAKE ME SLAM INTO YOUR BACK. I will be very upset.

People make out NY to be a bad place but it's all a lie. There are bad people everywhere you go. But NY is a very friendly city, the people are always very helpful to tourist, and you'll always have something to do at any time of the day. It's a 24 hour city.
