  • OK...Listen closely...What you do is Google the nearest junk yard. Get in your car, go there, and drop the car off and they will give you cash for it. Then run like hell! It is their problem now! LOL Naws. I wish I could help. I use to have a Cavalier also. Best of luck!!!
  • If it is front wheel drive, I'd check the CV joint and boot on that side. I'd also check to see that the brake caliper is releasing properly in a car that old. Sometimes there is so much grit and rust in the cylinder by that age that it won't release when you take your foot off the brake and the shoe will continue to rub the rotor. I caught a tire and brake line on fire that way once. Another possibility is that the Macpherson strut assembly has given out and the car is resting on the tire. That will definitely get worse when you turn right. A 13 year old mid-size car has probably reached the end of its life expectancy. You can probably expect that whatever is wrong is going to cost more than the car is worth.
  • Check the cv boot for leakage you might have an axle problem
