Do people have sufficient savings in case they lose their job?

Weve been outta work for a month?....We got enough for awhile, were kinda just takin a vacation for now. Soon though, were gonna havta get back up and movin so we dont fall behind.

From what I've been reading ; MOST people are living from Paycheck to Paycheck ect.... I forget the per centage BUT it was way something like 82% , BUT I'm not for sure ....

No. due to the ever-growing recession and increase in the endless taxes, savings are now inevitably drained, and in case of job-loss, I hate to say it, but I believe that that person who just recently got laid-off would struggle to find a new one, and to become financially stable again.

My sister and her husband do, but i imagine by now they're getting low... I did not have sufficient savings :(

I doubt it. Look how many people lost jobs and houses recently. If you have sufficient savings to live, you're lucky.

I have some saved for the rainy days. But I'm hoping I don't have to touch it. I still get 40 hours a week. So I thank God for having somewhere to go for 8 hours.

No.If they had then they would not be in that job. Though people save in a lot of ways, they end up having a negative balance once they do wrong speculative investments. And they do not know way out of this so they stick to their old job for security. The investments which go wrong are stocks,property,small businesses,etc!And if they were to succeed in these investments then why would they continue with the job?

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. It depends on various unexpected expenses and recovery time. Everyone should have at least 6 months of income saved or available. Most people do not.
