  • Yes i did and its dam annoying!!!there are many films in region one i want and im on region two.
  • There are different zone that correspond to where you live. Your DVD player must be set up to play them or they will not run. Zone: 1) USA/Canada 2) Europe, including France, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Arabia, Japan, and South Africa. 3) Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Borneo and Indonesia. 4) Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, the Caribbean And South America. 5) India, Africa, Russia and the former USSR countries. 6) People's Republic of China. I run into this problem working in a video store. People buy off the internet then wonder why the movie wont play.
  • No, I didnt why is that?
  • Yes, I do but I'm not familiar with the particular zones. I purchased a DVD player in Kuwait just before going into Iraq. I had to return it because it wouldn't play my DVDs. I think it's an effort to fight piracy.
  • I am aware of that. It sucks!
  • Yes, I did know that.
  • you can just download a program to block the zone setter settings. its very easy, just install it and it automatically unlocks any dvd. i used it because i bought some cartoon dvd's in korea that were zone locked to japan only but my laptop was a dell in zone 1. anyways. its called "Anydvd" just google it and you will find it. When in doubt...google out. -ME
  • Yep, my partner has done something so we can watch any region DVDs, so its no biggie.
