What type of leather is the easiest/thinnest to sew with a regular sewing machine, assuming I use a sewing needle made for sewing leather?

Leather comes in several different weights. Suede is most likely the easiest, but a good split leather can be good also. Just go to your supplier and feel the different choices until you find the one you like best. I love Elk, because it's very pliable, but deer is smooth and soft.
