Sometimes but its not so much the question who you are talking to, cause you can pretty much get an idea who you are talking to, but I think its alot of people chat about nothing, they don't chat about anything interesting.

I think it can be a double edged sword. Unfortunately the same sorts of people we have to deal with in our daily "brick and mortar" lives are also on the internet. The same rules apply online as do in our daily lives. I've met some great people on line and I've laughed my ass off. I don't feel I want to blow them off for the actions of one or two people. Unfortunately, at this point, I feel confined like I do in my daily life.

It never turns out to be the person who you think it is. Hot chicks don't need to chat with strangers no do cool guys. They have lives and real friends, They mat try it to check it out though. You may invite trouble....

I've always been very sceptical about online relationships. And then a strange thing happened to me: there was this good, platonic female friend of mine. When we moved apart, we communicated chiefly through the internet for a few years, and then we met again. Nothing much had changed for me, but she was majorly disappointed in how I'd turned out -- even though she'd known me long beforehand (and I hadn't tried to impress her with my online personality, or anything). Me, a winning online personality? Hard to believe, I know. I think what came into play is this nefarious fake online intimacy.
