  • There was a whole family of them at the All-you-can-eat buffet I went to last night. They sat in a booth by the window.
  • I hunt them with a 45 and two arkansas toothpicks good eating!
  • My farm here in India is close to the Jungles. Wild pigs do come in at night boring holes under the fence. They come to feed on the tubers in the vegetable patch. We have the dogs to alert us and a night watchman to chase them away. In my farm we don't kill the boars like some others do - placing explosives in fruits. The moment the boars bite into the fruit their head explodes. We just chase them away.
  • We don't have them in Colorado that i know of.
  • There are hundreds of them in the game preserve where I camp. They are very docile unless cornered. They can run as fast as a raped ape, and are cute as puppies as babies.
  • I met a few down at the pub.
  • There's a few here on AB. :)
  • The original Polynesian adventurers brought them with them to Hawaii. They are hunted regularly here. I was driving one day on a road with a 15 foot clif to my right when one fell from the clif directly in front of my car. He got up, shook himself, and trotted off.
  • There was a rumour that wild pigs were heard in a camp ground in Ohio. Turns out it was just me and my gf in our 2 man tent.............
  • My states one of them, a man was suppose to delver pigs to this farmer, and the farmer didn't want them and he let them loose. They distroy fences, kill other farm animals and spead disase. So they are not safe wild. I didn't see it but we had a broken corn feeder with pig prints.
  • i see them at work all the time. their young ones are kinda adorable. i also know they are on the trails i walk on, though i've not seen them out there.
  • We used to have them running around our property on occasion back in California. My husband used to sometimes go hunting them with a friend on some land that was a vineyard. The pigs destroyed a lot of the land, rooting up vines and tearing up fencing and ruining waterholes of the cattle ranches. They were very destructive. A large herd invaded the elementary school and completely tore up all the landscaping. It was terrible.
  • we have them out behind the house but i havent came across them yet.
  • My dad hunts them, and I've seen quite a few of them, but mostly after they're dead. The few I've seen in the wild seemed so huge, like franken-pigs. They come in lots of colors, turn ponds into giant mudholes, and eat prickly pears right off the cactus. I've seen several hunting dogs severely wounded by pigs too, they fight like mad. They make yummy breakfast sausage, but the meat itself is tough and gamey. Not like a sweet, soft little farm pig. I've been trying to convince my dad to trap me a baby one day, so I can raise a pet pig.
  • Do you mean really wild pigs or the ones who have the flu? If it is the ones with the flu my computer is just about full of wiseguy answers.
  • We have breeding populations in Pennsylvania...we are now allowed to hunt them 24/7 365...Many people scoff at this...but texas and florida sure don't. They can breed 3 times a year and produce litters of 10 or more...just as bad as rabbits...with nothing natural to keep them in check. Hogzilla was very real...and there have been many more like him..russian boars have been breed with domestic and wild pigs...creating these huge monsters. They have been known to attack without warning. Saw a clip of a man attacked in his livingroom. The hog just broke through his door and charged him. Hog populations have boomed all over the world. Get the chance watch "Pig Bomb" on national Geographic..they have clips on their site...its pretty interesting stuff...and it made me a bit more aware of whats really happening.
  • Dispatched one here in Michigan with my handgun. Called the local sheriff's office and was exonerated on the spot.
  • Thats what I fear the most while hunting, walking into a pack of them...They tend to pack together where populations are high.
  • yes, i once ran into a group of republicans at this party; to bad i didnt have my trusty rifle to dispatch them. thats my experience with wild pigs.
  • You mean those posers who are starting the riots on the health care reform? They are a wild bunch that's for sure.
  • Yes, but I don't like to talk about it much. I chalk it up to just another bad date.
  • I have never encountered any wild pigs in IL, we just have 8 zillion of the "Farmer in the Dell" variety.
  • Yes, it was at my townhall meeting the other night. They were all in their 80s, screaming all kinds of things against health insurance and they all needed a change of Depends
