  • I spent three days on the Atlanta streets as a "homeless" person. It was an eye opening experience.
  • Yes i would.
  • no, i've done my time sleeping outside while serving in the Marines
  • For now, no. I do sympathize with homeless people. After all, I am a hobo.
  • How is that going to change anything? What have you PERSONALLY given/sacrificed toward an individual who's homeless? Have you PERSONALLY given them food, time, or money? Waiting for your answer.
  • Hell no. I'm already aware of them.
  • Yes I would and have..well..I can't say that I slept, but I stayed out for the night with them and alot of other people who wants this problem solved! :)
  • I do it most of the time so I wouldnt care.
  • If I thought it would do any good, then yes.
  • Sure, why not..:) Do not think ANYONE should be homeless.
  • I don't know. I've already done it to nurse my beloved first pony through her last night (15 degrees and snowing with high wind). I wasn't totally exposed, I was in an old barn that sort of sifted the wind but didn't really stop it.
  • NO, Because people are already aware of it, they just don't give a sh*t, so why bother?
  • Perhaps, if it were in the surrounding wilderness with a bit of camping gear. (!) (Read: 'winter camping.') :)
  • i have
  • i have been homeless so yeah i would
  • Yes, I'd call it a "sleep out" and would open the event to the community. But if you want to do this, you'd have to be careful about where you did it. If you used a public park, you could be arrested for vagrancy. I have heard of people sleeping in tents on college campuses to raise awareness for homeless people.
  • I might if it done good in the end.
  • If it wasn;t so damned pointless maybe. You want to raise awareness then give them homes.
  • Naw, my bed & big bosomed brunette is waaaaay too comfortable to leave vacated for an evening of politickin. I'd touch off the vagrants tents with a match & gas tho so they could stay warm for the evening!
  • i would do anything i could for something so cloe to my heart
  • I can't lie. . .no. . .I wouldn't! Not because I don't CARE. . .but because my effort would be pointless. I KNOW my limitations!
  • If I knew it would make a real difference, I would. From firsthand experience, most people don't want to do much to help the homeless. Part of my own family (whom I was very close to) turned their back on us when we lost our jobs and home.
  • Been there...done that. A Winter night in my state, as well as other Northern tier states, can be very dangerous unless you're prepared for the elements.
  • No. I'm fully aware of the homeless situation yo...
  • I'm not sure I would. I saw a documentary on most (not all) but most wanted to be homeless. The homeless claimed they didn't want anyone telling them how to live, when to pay a bill.. etc.. so the government gave them a check each month and they spent it the way they wanted. I use to really worry over a homeless person but after that show I am not at all worried with them.
  • hell no
  • Yes i'd do it then also I'd know I could do it. then it would be one less fear i'd have.
  • I've slept out in the cold to raise my own awareness that I WAS homeless. Nobody gave a shit and in fact called police to get me out of the area. I should try to raise their awareness? They're already aware and don't care.
  • No. Because I've been homeless. And I've seen many of those celebrities sleep out in damned good comfort. Instead of trying to "raise awareness" they could instead sponsor housing one of them.
  • No i would not sleep in winter to raise awareness of homelessness ,beause goverment are looking after them ,moreover some of them are capable to work ,and spending the tax payers money.
  • I have never hardly been able to afford heating my home for the past 5 yrs. now. We cannot turn the heat on anyway. I guess I have suffered enough? I have to get a food box at least once a month myself. I live on $448.00 a month. I am almost on the verge of being homeless.
  • YES. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN THROUGH MANY TRAGEDIES WHAT WHICH MAKES HOMELESSNESS A SMALL FEAT FOR ME, I KNOW FOR OTHERS IT MAY BE THEIR BIGGEST TRAGEDY. AND I WOULD LIKE OTHERS TO KNOW THAT I CARE .....
  • If it actually would raise awarness, I would. Like a walkathon or something. I certainly would not just do it on my own and hope something would happen. I don't see that raising anything except a fever or something.
  • do you think there are a lot of people who don't know homelessness exists? what if you made someone aware of homelessness and they realized they hated homeless people? maybe, homelessness something people need to discover on their own...
  • yes I will!
  • For just one night? No, you wouldn't get the full affect without at least being out on the streets for about a month with no family/friends, no money, no car, no food, no job, no nothing. And then really see how people treat you and accuse you of being on drugs/alcohol and refuse help...maybe even get you arrested for simply begging. You have your last $2 and struggle with buying a cheeseburger that will only quiet the growling of your stomach for 'maybe' a couple of hours or buy a quart of beer that will keep you warmer for a while and hopefully knock you out (or help you sleep better) so you don't have to go through another LONG night driving yourself insane with thoughts of a better place...a better time...
  • Sure,but I'm bringing my arctic gear. +3
  • If I slept out for a night at winter where I live, I might die or at least be VERY sick. . Especially, if I added malnutrition and bad clothing to the realism.
  • If I knew that I could make that tiny bit of difference I would, but I don't see how it would help.
