  • I have a son who flung himself about 700 miles away. We talk every week on the phone and visit a few times a year. In fact, I'm flying to see him in a couple weeks!!! YAY!! I can't wait.
  • I have a 23 year old who still lives at home but is in Oklahoma right now for an Army training school. I hear from him weekly. I have a 44 year old living in California. We talk now and then. He mainly calls when he wants my advice, then doesn't take it. :)
  • A lot. I have one far-flung grown child..my son who lives in Honolulu and I'm in Hemet, California...2500 miles as the crow flies (or the plane). He is a college professor in Honolulu and has a lot of conferences on the mainland. Everytime he is in the Continental United States he makes it a point to stop by our place either coming or going. We are 100 miles away from LAX..so it isn't "on his way" it is "out of his way". Yet he does it. One times he arrived at LAX about 9:30 pm., got a rental car and got here around 1am. Went to sleep, we went out to breakfast the next morning and then he was on his way back to the airport. I have no complaints. I am very blessed! :)
  • I have a son and a daughter who live about 8 hours away. While I don't see them much, I talk to my daughter almost everyday. My son is another thing, he is introvert and keeps to his gaming and does not talk or call me much, but I do see him once in a while. My daughter sees him too. I try not to bother them as They are 20 and 22 and want them to be independent and find their way in life.
