By the time I turned 21, I was supposed to be dead. Didn't work out that way unfortunately. I should have had a plan B.

Welcome to the human race. EVERYONE feels that way. Don't like what your life is like? Time to go somewhere else. change the rules. Take a chance. Do something different. Peace Corps, Military, Mafia, differents.

I wasn't encouraged to be 'something' or to make my own plans. When I asked my Dad if I could go to college after school, he said, ' You wont have time to finish a two year course, you'll be getting married.' At 20, I had been married for 3 yrs, was in a foreign country, with a foreign language and still wondering why my parents sent me there! I was born in England and expected to get married in a church ( even though we were muslims, we were a one unit family and wasn't exposed to our own traditions. Me and my siblings were just told that we were different. )I thought I would follow the paths of my school friends. After 14 yrs ( and 3 children later ) I couldn't handle what was going on in my life in the Middle East, managed to get a one-way ticket and flew back to England. My reality is here now, the way it should have been, free to make my own decisions and to live my life. It started when I was 33yrs old, when I got that ticket.
