  • I can't answer for other countries ... But I do know ... less Australians and New Zealanders live waiting for a terrorist attack than many Americans probably do ... To answer your question ... I don't believe you (Americans) have anymore freedom than Australia or New Zealand ...
  • More free than UK IMO
  • we all have the right to vote, we all have democratically elected governments, we all have health care systems, education systems, judicial systems. none of us has been through a war on our own soil since WW2. there will always be pluses and minuses, but I think we are all pretty much of a muchness in the freedom stakes.
  • I think there is less freedom in America than in other countries. In some states in the USA you are not allowed to smoke, or drink in public. That is just wrong.
  • I think there are degrees of freedom that most of Western democracies share. Some liberties are more advanced than others but I think for the most part our freedom is very similar. Having said that, I think the USA has been restricted since 911 and when George W. invaded Iraq. The concepts are there but the personal freedoms are at risk from external forces that need to be dealt with.
  • Yes I believe so. American Citizens have the right to bear arms, correct? whereas in the UK not even the police force carries guns.
